Iran Loses 95 Million Cubic Meters/Day of Gas Capacity After Assaluyeh Damage

95 million cubic meters per day of Iranian gas production capacity went offline after damage to part of the Assaluyeh gas processing facilities, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said Tuesday.
Late September is the target for restoring that lost output, making the disruption temporary but significant for one of Iran’s main gas hubs.
230 million cubic meters per day had already been cut from Iran’s gas production capacity since the war began in late February, a senior government official said in July.
About 100 million cubic meters per day of those earlier losses was expected to return within months, showing Assaluyeh adds to a broader wartime strain on Iran’s gas system.
