Cam Newton Backs Rodgers Claim NFL Figures Used Fake COVID Cards in 2021

Newton said on his podcast that multiple NFL players, coaches and executives “fraudulently” obtained COVID vaccination cards, echoing Aaron Rodgers’ claim from last week.
2021 league rules made vaccination critical: unvaccinated players faced daily testing, masks and distancing, while coaches had to be vaccinated or lose access to work.
Rodgers said some cards looked “written in crayon” and argued vaccinated-card holders avoided restrictions while unvaccinated players were treated like “second-rate citizens.”
Newton said he personally knew locker-room figures who “didn’t get the Covid shot” but paid for cards, adding that some nurses “was making big bank.”
The allegations revive scrutiny of the NFL’s pandemic-era enforcement, which also affected Newton directly when a 2021 testing misunderstanding with the Patriots cost him practice time.
