Summary
43% of respondents said they spend €25-€99 a month on electronics, making it the largest spending bracket in the community survey.
23% reported monthly spending of €100-€249, 22% spent less than €25, and only a small minority said they spend €250 or more.
Components claimed the biggest share of electronics budgets at about 37%, ahead of development boards and modules at roughly 24% and test equipment at around 17%.
€500 in extra discretionary money would mostly go to durable gear: nearly 40% would buy an Oscilloscope, analyzer, or other test equipment, while about 30% would choose workshop tools.
That gap suggests routine budgets are centered on parts for ongoing projects, but larger one-off spending is more likely to shift toward higher-value equipment.
