Hall’s production supports that: he topped 1,000 rushing yards in 2025 and has cleared 1,300 scrimmage yards in three straight seasons. Still, Aaron Glenn has made clear the Jets do not want a one-man backfield. He has repeatedly described Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis as a “three-headed monster,” suggesting Hall’s role will evolve more toward featured starter than total snap monopolizer. In practice, that likely means Hall handling the most valuable touches: early-down work, red-zone opportunities, and especially passing-game usage, where he remains the most dynamic option. Allen and Davis should still carve out meaningful jobs. Allen’s size makes him a logical short-yardage and late-game power complement if healthy, while Davis appears to have the edge in third-down reliability behind Hall because of his pass protection and receiving ability. That could trim Hall’s snap share at times, but it may also help preserve his explosiveness over a full season. So the extension does not eliminate the committee; it defines the hierarchy. Hall should be the clear RB1 and offensive focal point, with the Jets using Allen and Davis to manage wear and diversify packages rather than replace him.
