Google’s Play Services v26.31 lets Wear OS devices such as Galaxy Watches process raw location data server-side, improving GPS tracking for cycling, running and walking.
Cellular Galaxy Watch models can use the feature directly on-device, while non-cellular versions receive the improved GPS data only after reconnecting to Wi-Fi or a paired smartphone.
The same Play Services release also adds account-management improvements for Google and third-party apps, plus bug fixes for diagnostics and system management.
Google separately updated the Play Store, adding a shortcut on foldables including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra to open app detail pages from Top Charts.
