Summary
A Heat Advisory runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday across most of Central Florida as heat index readings are forecast to reach 100 to 110 degrees.
Highs in the low to mid-90s, combined with heavy humidity, will make conditions feel significantly hotter and keep heat the region’s main weather threat.
Residents are urged to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks and limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible, with storm chances increasing near the I-4 corridor late in the day, but hot and humid conditions are expected to persist through the rest of the week.
