Google Confirms 3nm Tensor G6 in All Pixel 11 Models, Not a 2nm Debut

Google hardware VP Peng Yu-Chun confirmed all Pixel 11 models use the 3nm Tensor G6, settling speculation that the chip might be a 2nm first.
3nm aligns with the prior Tensor G5’s 3nm N3P process, and Google had not advertised any 2nm node even after the Pixel 11 launch and pre-order start.
DevCheck and other device-info tools still do not show the Tensor G6 lithography, though Google says the chip delivers up to 20% better power efficiency.
That efficiency gain may also reflect design changes: Google cut the CPU to a 7-core cluster, while adding a TPU said to be 50% more capable for on-device AI.
Google’s limited Pixel volumes and focus away from peak performance make sticking with TSMC’s 3nm process a more economical choice than adopting 2nm.
