The key rewards are tied to specific beta challenges. Reaching Player Level 20 unlocks the Epic Blast Damage Mags Character Skin. Extracting from Horde Siege eight times on Infantry difficulty or higher grants the Rare Crush the Bug Weapon Skin Set. Players who score 25 headshots earn the Crush the Bug Banner, while performing 10 revives unlocks the Crush the Bug Emblem. Completing five Prototype Lancer chainsaw executions awards the Crush the Bug Icon. There is also a participation reward. Simply launching the multiplayer beta unlocks the Open Beta Medal and the “First in the Fight” title. Microsoft’s event notice only said rewards were available for completing challenges and providing feedback, but the beta FAQ makes clear these are the hidden incentives awaiting players during the test period. Those items unlock for use in the beta and are then added to players’ inventories for the full release. The beta runs from August 13 at 12 p.m. PT to August 17 at 10 a.m. PT on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The open weekend content includes Horde Siege, a 12-player PvE mode, and 4v4 Versus multiplayer.
