Dylan Walsh said he paused his Cameo account after a fan video went viral showing him saying “Heated Rivalry” was shooting “12 this time” as filming resumes in Canada.
Walsh later apologized to Variety, saying he spoke off the cuff, should not have speculated about the production schedule or episode count, and had no official information to announce.
The remark stirred fan speculation because creator Jacob Tierney said in February he did not want more than six episodes per season, raising questions about a split season or Seasons 2 and 3 filming together.
Cameo had briefly marked Walsh unavailable for personalized videos until August 2027 before that note was removed; Season 2 of the hockey romance is expected in spring 2027.
