Ahmed Hassanein emerged as Detroit’s biggest preseason riser in Cincinnati, posting two sacks — including a red-zone strip sack — and another quarterback hit against Bengals starter Joe Burrow.
The second-year defensive lineman’s impact matched the strong buzz he had built in training camp, with one stunt producing a drive-ending sack and repeated pressure nearly creating an interception.
Isaac TeSlaa trended the other way after two costly drops: one deflected off his facemask for an interception on the opening series, and another on fourth-and-3 ended a second drive in Bengals territory.
Dan Campbell said he is not concerned about TeSlaa’s rough opener, citing the second-year receiver’s drive and expecting a few good practice plays to quickly reverse the slide.
