Summary
Sept. 12 will bring the De Soto Farmers Market’s 11th annual Farm to Table fundraiser, a four-course dinner running 6-9 p.m. at the pavilion on North Main Street.
Tickets cost $45 per person or $350 for a table of eight through Aug. 29, then rise to $50, with proceeds supporting the market and programs including its community garden.
The event’s “A Star Spangled Supper” theme will pair vendor-sourced Americana dishes with wine tastings, a silent auction, live music, raffles, a cash bar and tours of the new raised-bed garden.
The local-only market requires goods to be produced or value-added within 75 miles of De Soto and plans to begin renting its commissary kitchen to nonprofits and community groups in coming months.
Voting in American Farmland Trust’s 2026 farmers market contest remains open through Sept. 30 after De Soto placed first in the Midwest and eighth nationally last year with 1,832 votes and a $1,000 award.
