Samsung Readies 6th One UI 9.0 Beta for Galaxy S26 as Stable Release Nears

Still, the appearance of another beta suggests Samsung is not quite ready to push the stable version broadly to existing Galaxy S26 users. Reports around the beta program indicate Samsung is still fixing polish issues such as notification shade lag, UI micro-stutter, animation hiccups and other stability bugs. Beta 5 was mostly a bug-fix release, and Beta 6 appears aimed at tightening performance rather than adding features. So the evidence points to an imminent rollout window, but not a surprise early drop. A more realistic reading is that Samsung is following an accelerated but controlled schedule: stable software is already live on new foldables, while the Galaxy S26 line likely gets one final beta before the public stable release. In practical terms, that means Android 17 for the S26 series could arrive soon after this next beta if testing goes well, but the leaked stable build alone is not proof that Samsung is about to release it immediately.

Samsung appears to be preparing a sixth One UI 9.0 beta build—S948BXXU4ZZHB—for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, suggesting one more test release before the stable rollout.
Earlier this week, the company pushed a fifth beta focused on bug fixes, addressing six issues found after the prior version and reinforcing that the remaining work is largely cleanup.
