North Omaha Shooting Leaves 21-Year-Old Man Critically Injured, Police Hunt Suspect

A 21-year-old man remained hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting in North Omaha early Saturday, police said.
Officers found him with a gunshot wound just after 3 a.m. near 35th Street and Ames Avenue after he had been driven to Meredith Circle from the scene.
Police are still searching for a potential suspect and have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
Investigators had earlier said two women were at the scene and were examining whether the shooting was linked to a shots-fired call minutes earlier near 25th Street and Ames Avenue.
