Ground systems already show the value of faster detection: Pano AI has deployed more than 1,400 cameras across 17 states, while Cal Fire says its 1,200-camera network now catches about half of wildfires before any 911 call.
That layered satellite-and-camera approach targets a growing threat as parts of the western United States now face roughly two extra months of fire weather each year versus the 1970s.
