Summary
Amy Schumer has signed on to star in and produce “Best Divorce Ever,” a Sean Mullin comedy that Concourse Media will launch to buyers in Toronto next month.
The film follows Clarissa and Franklin, who end their 20-year marriage and try to stage an amicable split, only to see dates, children and “conscious uncoupling” plans unravel.
Concourse Media and sister company Archetype Media Finance are executive producing and financing, with Matthew Lee Miller and Natalie Metzger producing for Vanishing Angle.
Mullin said the script grew out of his own amicable divorce and aims to recast divorce as something other than a failed ending, while giving Schumer another lead comedy vehicle.
