Trump Casts 2nd 2026 Florida Mail Ballot as He Presses New Voting Restrictions

Florida’s Tuesday primary marked Trump’s second mail ballot of 2026, even as he keeps urging Congress to pass the SAVE America Act to tighten mail voting rules.
The White House said Trump, a Palm Beach resident who has not been to Florida in months, used a mail ballot because he is living in Washington and the bill allows exceptions for travel.
Politico reported records show Trump requested the ballot in late July and returned it on Aug. 13, while Palm Beach County’s elections office said his voter information is not being made public.
Trump has long called mail voting “crooked as hell,” yet defended his own use in March and paired that push with an executive order and demands that senators send him the SAVE America Act.
The clash comes as about two dozen states and Washington, D.C., ask the Supreme Court to reject the administration’s proposed mail-voting restrictions, while Brookings said fraud in mailed ballots is rare.
