Probably not completely, but it could reduce the problem enough to make the Exynos 2500 far more usable in the Galaxy S26 FE than it was in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The evidence points that way because the S26 FE is a conventional 6.7-inch bar phone with more internal volume and likely more cooling headroom than a compact clamshell foldable. Benchmark leaks cited by SamMobile show the Exynos 2500 scoring about 38% higher in single-core and 22% higher in multi-core tests in the S26 FE than in the Z Flip 7, which strongly suggests Samsung is allowing the chip to run less conservatively in the larger chassis. That does not mean the overheating “curse” is gone. The broader Exynos track record still raises questions, and recent reporting around the newer Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 line suggests Samsung has not fully solved heat and efficiency issues at the chip level. If the 2600 can still run warm in a flagship slab phone, it would be risky to assume the 2500 is suddenly immune just because the FE is bigger. The most realistic expectation is improvement, not a cure. The S26 FE may sustain performance better, throttle less aggressively, and feel less thermally constrained than the Flip 7. But whether it truly fixes overheating will depend on Samsung’s vapor chamber, tuning, frame-rate limits, and real-world gaming tests after launch. Until independent thermal testing arrives, the larger chassis should be seen as a mitigation, not a definitive solution.
