Summary
Manchester South Coroner's Court heard James Snowden was found dead at his Altrincham home in December 2024 after a plan to withdraw sulpiride was discussed on 26 November.
His mother said the anti-psychotic, prescribed in 2021 after repeated suicide attempts, had helped him live a fuller life, but James appears to have stopped taking it altogether.
Samantha Snowden told the inquest her 6ft 7in son had suicidal thoughts from age four, multiple attempts from age 11 and auditory hallucinations linked to autism.
Weeks before his death, the 21-year-old was also dealing with a sporting injury, poor sleep after a close friend's death, and the unexpected death of his dog.
