Middlesex County Offers 5 Free Will Workshops During August Make-A-Will Month

Five free workshops are scheduled by the Middlesex County Surrogate’s Office to help residents create or update wills during National Make-A-Will Month.
Sessions run Aug. 18 in Piscataway, Aug. 19 in Old Bridge and Monroe, Aug. 26 in Edison, and Oct. 13 in Woodbridge, with the county framing them as basic estate-planning access.
Claribel Cortes said the office regularly sees how having no will complicates probate, while a properly prepared one can carry out a person’s wishes and reduce stress for families.
The office also provides wills, estates, advance directive and living will booklets, though residents are urged to consult a qualified estate-planning attorney to ensure documents comply with New Jersey law.
