Walmart Cuts Acer RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PC to $2,099, Adding 2 Free AAA Games

Q: Does the RTX 5070 Ti's massive performance make up for the Intel Core Ultra 7 trailing behind AMD's top gaming chips?

Mostly yes for this prebuilt, but not if your goal is the absolute best gaming CPU performance. The RTX 5070 Ti is the dominant part of Acer’s Orion 6000. At 1440p it is a very strong card, and it remains capable at 4K, especially in ray-traced games where Nvidia’s lead and DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation matter. In many real gaming scenarios at 1440p and above, the GPU has a bigger impact on frame rates than the difference between Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265KF and AMD’s top X3D chips. That said, the Core Ultra 7 265KF does trail AMD’s best gaming processors. Reviews of Arrow Lake show Intel’s chip is efficient and solid in productivity, but it is not a gaming leader. AMD’s X3D parts still hold the advantage in cache-sensitive games, especially at 1080p where CPU differences show up most clearly. For this system, that trade-off is easier to accept because the price has dropped to $2,099. At that level, buyers are getting a high-end GPU, 32GB of DDR5, and competent 240mm liquid cooling in a ready-to-use machine. For shoppers focused on 1440p ultra settings or stepping into 4K, the 5070 Ti does enough heavy lifting that the Intel CPU’s gaming shortfall is less important. The caveat is value detail. The 1TB SSD is modest for a premium desktop, and the listing leaves open questions about motherboard, PSU, and I/O quality. So the GPU largely compensates for the CPU versus AMD in actual gameplay, but it does not erase every concern about the overall build.
