Samsung Tests One UI 9.5 on Galaxy S26, Adding Custom Widgets in CZHD Build

CZHD test firmware for the Galaxy S26 series shows Samsung is advancing One UI 9.5, with leaks pointing to a redesigned navigation bar, new animations and a "My Custom Widget" tool.
The custom-widget feature appears to let users combine data from supported Samsung apps into personalized home-screen layouts, moving beyond fixed widgets and aligning with Android’s broader push toward generated widgets.
The same early build reportedly swaps the older green-glow look for a darker background, adds a pill-shaped glass-effect navigation bar and shows a still-glitchy Gallery jiggle animation.
Samsung has not confirmed features or timing, but One UI 9.5 is expected to debut with the Galaxy S27 lineup in early 2027 while One UI 9.0 beta testing continues on current flagships.
Based on Android 18 eligibility, the update could reach dozens of Galaxy devices later, though older models such as the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 appear set to miss it.
