Firefox support is also narrower, applying only to Windows, not Firefox on macOS, Linux, Android or iOS. In practical terms, Firefox is now a real option for most players who want high-end cloud gaming without installing the desktop client. For Ultimate subscribers on a capable Windows PC, 1440p/120fps is a serious tier, not a compromised one. Since GeForce Now is streaming video rather than rendering locally in the browser, the main requirements remain a strong connection, hardware video decoding, and stable browser performance. The native app still makes more sense if you want NVIDIA’s absolute maximum feature set, the broadest platform tuning, or the highest available resolutions and frame rates. But the idea that Firefox is only a second-rate fallback is no longer accurate. On Windows, it is now an officially supported, high-performance way to play.
