Summary
Sheridan said the long-discussed '6666' series is dead—“there’s never going to be one”—closing the door on a Yellowstone spinoff once expected after Jimmy Hurdstrom’s Season 4 move to the Texas ranch.
The creator said he refuses to fictionalize the real Four Sixes because inventing drama around a working ranch would trivialize the people who live, work and raise families there.
Sheridan, part of the investor group that bought the ranch in 2020, said he feels responsible for protecting it and could not do that to the cowboys dedicated to the operation.
Paramount had unveiled '6666' at its 2022 Upfront as another Yellowstone extension, but the franchise has since expanded through '1883,' '1923,' 'Marshals' and 'Dutton Ranch' instead.
