PFT Ranks Texans No. 3 and Cardinals No. 32 in 2026 Preseason Power Rankings

Houston opened at No. 3 in Mike Florio’s PFT preseason rankings, behind defending champion Seattle at No. 1 and the Rams at No. 2.
Florio said the Texans’ defense is strong enough to reach and win a Super Bowl, arguing the offense needs only modest improvement after a 12-5 season.
Michael Holley questioned the ranking because of C.J. Stroud’s late-season mistakes, while also challenging Buffalo at No. 5 and New England’s drop to No. 7.
Arizona landed at No. 32, with Florio citing its division, roster talent and schedule; he also put the Raiders 31st and Browns 30th.
Florio framed the list as a preseason snapshot rather than a prediction, saying teams can quickly play their way up or down once the season starts.
