Nintendo said a Sept. 24 launch date for The Duskbloods is inaccurate, after the date appeared in an early Guardian preview from a Tokyo hands-on event.
An official spokesperson told Eurogamer there is currently no release-date information for the Switch 2 exclusive, while other preview reports said only that it is due later this year.
The denial lands 1 day before a closed network test that players signed up for after last month's Nintendo Direct trailer.
Leaked gameplay footage also surfaced online earlier on Aug. 20, was reposted to Bilibili, and was later taken down.
