Bitdeer said only that Bitdeer AI signed the five-year, roughly $400 million contract with an undisclosed customer of “high credit quality.” Based on the company’s announcement and related reporting, there is no confirmed evidence naming the Malaysia customer. The deal covers about 50% of the planned 9.5 MW A102 facility in Malaysia, a liquid-cooled site built for NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 deployments, with services expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027. What is known is the structure of the agreement. Bitdeer typically seeks customer prepayments covering more than half of associated capital expenditures, which helps reduce build-out risk before a site is energized. The company said the remaining A102 capacity is still under negotiation and that its active AI cloud pipeline exceeds $2 billion. There has been outside reporting identifying Anthropic as the end customer behind a separate Norway-related chain involving Volta Infrastructure and Bitdeer’s Tydal campus. But that concerns a different project, different counterparties and a different geography.
