That means collectors are paying a noticeable premium on Best Buy for the same kind of resale product. The Pokémon 151 Booster Pack listed around $44.77 is another example of eye-catching but expensive marketplace pricing. The second issue is seller type. The strongest deals in the anniversary sale are the products sold and shipped directly by Best Buy, such as accessories and select TCG items. The Pokémon marketplace listings, by contrast, come from third-party sellers inside Best Buy’s newer marketplace operation. For collectors, that matters because these are resale listings, not MSRP restocks from Best Buy itself. That distinction is especially important in today’s overheated Pokémon market, where sealed product demand remains unusually high and scalper-style markups are common. Collectors are being advised to compare against TCGplayer market prices or use Best Buy’s invite-only system for true direct-from-retailer launches, rather than assume every item on Best Buy’s site is a vetted anniversary bargain.
