Summary
New England Law Boston rescinded Thomas Robinson’s fall admission after he was charged in an alleged Penn State drug-trafficking ring, stripping a scholarship worth more than $188,000.
The school said Robinson had not begun classes; the withdrawn award was the Justice Sandra Day O’Connor Honors Scholarship, a full-tuition honor tied to its J.D. honors program.
Pennsylvania prosecutors allege Robinson was a key supplier in the fraternity-centered operation and ranked just below the ring’s leader, Agostino Abbatiello.
Grand jury records say Robinson was first arrested in December 2024 after controlled cocaine buys, then cooperated with police and described purchases ranging from 6 to 8 ounces to two 1-kilogram deals worth more than $20,000.
Robinson, a former Penn State student who later finished his bachelor’s degree at Colorado State, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 2.
