Summary
September will mark Spectrum’s rollout of its own products and pricing across former Cox markets, while existing Cox customers keep their current plans, prices and equipment for now.
Spectrum said customers who later switch will get faster internet options, and Cox internet users will receive one free year of Spectrum Mobile before unlimited service moves to $30 a month.
Traditional TV customers are also set to gain bundled streaming services including Disney+, Hulu and ESPN at no added cost as Spectrum replaces Cox offerings.
More than 1,000 sales and service jobs are being added across the former Cox footprint, with CEO Chris Winfrey estimating about 15% could be in Nebraska.
The Cox brand will gradually disappear starting in September as Spectrum extends its branding and service packages through the acquired markets.
