Summary
Nearly 40,000 15mL bottles of Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief were recalled nationwide after Prestige Consumer Healthcare cited a lack of sterility assurance.
The FDA notice says the July 29 recall was triggered by potential contamination in the eye drops, which are marketed to relieve itchiness, redness and other eye irritation.
The agency classified the action as a Class II recall, meaning use of the product could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
Affected bottles carry recall number D-0766-2026, lot code 2552A and an expiration date of Sept. 30, 2027.
