Doi was last seen Aug. 14 at her home on Maia Street, and her family reported her missing two days later as the hurricane's extreme weather battered the area.
Emergency crews launched an immediate search and found her dead around 12:30 p.m. Monday; Hawaii County police said the investigation is ongoing and foul play is not suspected.
Doi was a retired Naalehu Elementary School teacher who left the school in 1995 after 37 years of service.
