A number of Iraqi oil tankers received special Iranian permission to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, according to state-run IRNA on Saturday.
Baghdad secured the passage after raising the issue through several channels, making tanker access a central request in Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s recent visit to Iraq.
