Google Pushes Pixel 11 Ads to Older Phones via My Pixel Notifications

Older Pixel phones are now receiving promotional notifications for the Pixel 11 series, marking a rare ad push on devices long known for a cleaner, bloat-free experience.
The ads appear through Google’s My Pixel app, formerly Pixel Tips, which added a Store tab last year and can send marketing alerts even if users have never opened the app.
Users can block the promotions without disabling the app by turning off the “New products and offers” notification category in My Pixel’s notification settings.
The change suggests Google may use Pixels more aggressively to market its expanding hardware lineup, raising concern that ads could spread to other products and services.
