Summary
Infinity Ward’s first Modern Warfare 4 beta patch cut enemy footstep volume and audible range, toned down time-to-kill on select weapons, and rolled out after Day 1 player complaints.
Cachette and the new Inflation mode joined the multiplayer rotation, and Cachette’s arrival lifted the map pool to 4—enough for Infinity Ward to switch on map voting.
ISO Nightshade and Oris 8.6 had damage range and headshot multipliers reduced, while Transit 213 got brighter shadows and color tweaks to improve visibility.
Bug fixes covered Mobility Course progress, controller reconnection, menu and Gunsmith errors, and some disconnects; on PC, the studio is still improving its Secure Attestation Wizard.
Join-in-progress remains disabled on Kill Block and some cooked lethals still trigger FPS drops, with more beta changes promised before Early Access ends on August 25.
