Stolen G-Wagon Chase Kills 2 in New Jersey Crash, Leaving 4 Teens Charged

Surveillance video captured the stolen 2024 Mercedes G-Wagon slamming head-on into a Hyundai in Mays Landing about 7:30 a.m. Aug. 22, killing Alice Stilwell Holt, 67, and Robert Barr Jr., 54.
Prosecutors said four teens had taken the SUV around 3:40 a.m. for a joyride and the crash occurred as the driver tried to evade police after an hourslong pursuit.
Nayshaun Brown, 18, and three juveniles were charged with conspiracy counts tied to aggravated assault, joyriding, eluding and receiving a stolen motor vehicle; Brown also faces employing a juvenile in a crime.
Brown remains jailed, two juveniles are still in custody and a third juvenile was released, as investigators continue seeking tips on a crash that left the teens with minor injuries but killed two local residents.
