Summary
Russia can potentially build up to 1,300 ballistic missiles a year and currently holds about 600-630, Zelenskyy said, adding Moscow is targeting output of roughly 100 a month but has not reached that pace.
Ukraine is trying to blunt that threat by striking Russian military-industrial sites tied to missile production and by disrupting preparations for large-scale missile barrages before they are launched.
Zelenskyy said those efforts recently helped prevent a planned Russian strike from going ahead and added Ukrainian forces also hit a Russian Iskander missile system near the border.
Ukraine's air defenses have improved against cruise missiles with combat aviation and IRIS-T and Hawk systems, but Zelenskyy said ballistic missiles remain harder to intercept.
