August 20 subpoenas ordered Microsoft and Discord to provide data on members of three Discord servers, with responses due by Sept. 4 as Take-Two tries to identify the GTA 6 leaker.
Take-Two is seeking IP addresses, phone numbers, linked Google and Xbox accounts, OneDrive contents, MachineGuid values and device IDs tied to users active since June 1.
CyberLeek began posting GTA 6 footage and map details on Aug. 17, paired the leaks with an anti-publisher manifesto, and promoted a Solana token that reportedly generated up to $60,000 in trading fees.
The sweep could expose identifying data for hundreds or thousands of users with no known link to the leak, including members of a server run by streamer DarkViperAU, who denied involvement.
The case extends a string of security problems around Rockstar and Take-Two, following a 78.6 million-record breach in April and an earlier GTA 6 footage leak in 2022.
