Driving Dickinson County Wins $10,000 Grant for Youth Market Initiative

Chisholm Trail Extension District will add workshops in gardening, cooking and maker skills, while Driving Dickinson County will teach pricing, costs and net profit through sessions and a comic-book guide.
Five local partners, including A Station and the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau, are backing the effort, which builds on youth interest already seen at A Station’s Kids Farmers Markets.
Young Roots Market is one of 11 Kansas projects funded in the latest Networked round; Network Kansas says the program has awarded $460,000 to 50 projects over five years.
