Met Police Send CPS File on 80s Suspect in 2 Al Fayed-Linked Assault Allegations

A full evidential file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service over a man in his 80s, with prosecutors now deciding whether to bring charges tied to two alleged indecent assaults on two women in London.
The suspect was interviewed under caution last month alongside a woman in her 80s on suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and sexual assault, and assisting the commission of sexual offences.
Seven suspects have now been questioned in the wider Mohamed Al Fayed investigation, including earlier interviews this year with three women in their 40s, 50s and 60s and one man in his 60s.
Al Fayed, the former Harrods owner, died aged 94 without ever facing charges; survivor group Justice for Fayed and Harrods Survivors called the CPS referral a significant step for the two women at the center of the file.
