Samsung Blocks Galaxy Store Payments on Android Below 5.0 From Aug. 25

Summary
Starting Aug. 25, Samsung Checkout will stop processing Galaxy Store and Galaxy Themes purchases on devices running Android versions older than 5.0.
Samsung said the cutoff is meant to provide a safer payment environment; affected users can still open the services, but purchase attempts will trigger a software compatibility message.
Android 5.0 Lollipop was released more than a decade ago, so the policy mainly hits exceptionally old Galaxy phones and tablets that cannot be updated to a newer version.
Devices eligible for Android 5.0 or later should keep working after a software update, but hardware stuck below that threshold will have no workaround once the rule takes effect.
