Only 15% of Businesses Scale Agentic AI as 74% Expect Process Overhauls by 2030

Deloitte’s survey of 501 senior leaders found just 15% of organizations have reached scaled, orchestrated multi-agent deployments, while 42% are still testing small numbers of agents and 43% are expanding across functions.
72% cited weak unified data foundations as a barrier to scaling, alongside trust and governance concerns at 70% and integration cost and complexity at 67%, underscoring why many firms lack an executable agentic AI roadmap.
Only 16% said current processes are prepared for agentic adoption and just 1 in 5 said their workforce is ready, pushing companies toward redesign rather than simply layering AI onto legacy workflows.
By 2030, 74% of leaders expect nearly half of business processes to be rebuilt around AI agents, yet only 31% expect such redesign by 2028, suggesting a steep execution gap.
Half of leaders said their organizations are underinvesting in workforce transformation even as 43% expect major job disruption; 71% are building baseline AI literacy and 65% are reskilling affected roles.
