Summary
Five MLB clubs — the Braves, Red Sox, Dodgers, Padres and Giants — signed exclusive multiyear brand partnerships with Kalshi, giving the prediction-market platform ties to one-sixth of the league.
Those deals put Kalshi on stadium signage, social media and team marketing channels, with the Dodgers also renaming the Gold Glove Bar at Dodger Stadium the Kalshi 435 Club.
Kalshi said baseball-related trading volume on its platform is 36 times higher than a year ago, framing the team tie-ups as a way to deepen fan engagement around markets already drawing baseball users.
Seven of MLB’s 30 teams now have prediction-market partnerships after earlier deals for the Yankees with Polymarket and the Mets with Novig, though the Guardians, Nationals, Phillies and Rockies said they have none.
The expansion comes as sports-event contracts from Kalshi and rivals face lawsuits over whether they should be regulated like state-by-state sports betting, and after MLB’s Polymarket pact drew backlash from Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
