Exodus Sets April 7, 2027 Launch on PS5, Xbox and PC

April 7, 2027 is the release date Archetype Entertainment unveiled for Exodus during gamescom Opening Night Live, with launches planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games Store.
A new cinematic trailer introduced Salt—an intelligent octopus Awakened who pilots a mech suit—as a recruitable sniper companion who can deploy an ink smokescreen and whose story centers on protecting her species and homeworld.
Exodus follows Jun, a Traveler leading humanity after its flight from Earth, and leans on time dilation and player choice as key RPG hooks shaping relationships and outcomes.
Drew Karpyshyn, a former Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic writer, is narrative director, reinforcing the game's BioWare-like positioning first highlighted when Exodus debuted at The Game Awards 2023.
Archetype, a Wizards of the Coast studio since 2020, last showed 20 minutes of gameplay in June, with combat and squad commands drawing clear Mass Effect comparisons ahead of the 2027 launch.
