Three weeks after the Aug. 4 incident, Perez Hilton is still hospitalized in Miami with broken bones, cutting wounds and complications tied to an earlier sepsis scare, his brother-in-law said.
Tom said doctors only recently shifted from treating Hilton’s physical injuries and overdose aftermath to assessing the “mental break” that led him to livestream 30 minutes of self-harm on TikTok.
Hilton has no electronics in his room, speaks to family through the nurses’ station and has not seen his three children, who are barred from that hospital section.
Aug. 7 brought a temporary custody filing by Hilton’s mother for Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8, while relatives told him his children were rushed to safety before paramedics arrived.
The next step is admission to a mental health facility, with family and doctors setting no timetable for his return home.
