Poland’s defense ministry said it does not plan to acquire F-15EX fighters and that its inclusion in a new U.S. contract does not mean a procurement decision or process has begun.
The Pentagon’s $131.23 billion Boeing IDIQ contract covers the broader F-15 program through 2037, including production, upgrades and sustainment, and merely creates a framework for Foreign Military Sales orders.
Poland was listed alongside Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore and Indonesia, but Boeing also said Warsaw has not yet made a decision on the jet.
Boeing has long pitched the F-15EX to Poland, whose officials have visited U.S. facilities, even as Warsaw already plans to expand its F-35 fleet by another 32 aircraft on top of 32 already ordered.
The listing still matters because Poland followed a similar path on the AH-64 Apache—first denied in a U.S. contract context, then later buying 96 helicopters amid its wider post-Ukraine military buildup.
