Black Box Re-broadcasts 2024 Replika Episode as Season 2 Nears in September

Black Box has reissued season one’s third episode, “Repocalypse Now,” while Today in Focus pauses for its summer break and plans to resume with new episodes on September 1.
The episode, first broadcast on March 11, 2024, centers on Replika creator Eugenia Kuyda and how her AI companion app grew into a global product with millions of downloads.
That growth is paired with the story’s central tension: Kuyda says Replika’s impact proved far more powerful than expected, and so did the backlash it triggered.
The re-broadcast also serves as a bridge to Black Box season two, which is due to launch in early September.
