Zelenskyy Awards Hero of Ukraine to 3rd Army Corps Commander Andrii Biletskyi

August 24 decree granted Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi Ukraine’s highest state honor, along with the Order of the Gold Star.
Zelenskyy’s office said the award recognized Biletskyi’s personal courage, heroism and selfless service in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Biletskyi now commands the Third Army Corps after leading the Azov unit that became the Third Separate Assault Brigade during the full-scale war.
His military profile also includes planning the 2015 Shyrokyne offensive, when Azov forces said they liberated 5 settlements and pushed the front line back from Mariupol.
