Gemini Adds Voice Dictation to macOS App, Turning Speech Into Polished Text

Gemini’s macOS app now lets users create, edit and summarize with voice directly in any desktop window, placing formatted text at the cursor.
The intelligent dictation feature transcribes natural speech into cleaned-up text, stripping filler words like “ums” and “ahs” and recognizing mid-sentence corrections.
Google framed the update as a workflow tool for writing where users already work on Mac, and published a video showing how to enable and use it.
