One violation in those five categories earns a 50% fine refund at season's end, while a single fine in another player-safety category can be refunded 100% if the player is not fined again.
Repeat offenders lose refund eligibility, players one point from suspension can be summoned with team coaches to meet league officials, and clubs with excessive violations face steeper financial penalties.
Owners were briefed and accepted the changes in Atlanta, extending the NFL's broader push to tie player, coach and club accountability more directly to health-and-safety enforcement.
