Video Boost requires a special capture mode and Google server processing, so users get a low-quality preview until the clip is uploaded, enhanced and downloaded again.
Dxomark said Video Boost most improves texture and noise, but autofocus and artifacts scored lower with it enabled, and the lab does not include boosted results in its main leaderboard.
If Video Boost were counted, the Pixel 11 Pro XL would reach 175 overall and share No. 1 with Huawei’s Pura 80 Ultra, underscoring how central the feature has become to Google’s video strategy.
